Now that my little one is getting older, I really love getting new games for her to play!  Games are great for teaching sportsmanship (good attitude whether you win or lose), taking turns, being patient, following directions, etc.  They are great fun and wonderful learning tools!  And Blue Orange makes some FANTASTIC games!  The kind folks at Blue Orange were nice enough to send me a couple of games for review!

The First game I received was KeeKee the Rocking Monkey...
This is a GREAT game for little ones!!! Its one of Blue Orange's newest games and it was even a Dr. Toy 10 Best Games Winner!!!!  You take the 24 wooden cylinders and place them on KeeKee while he rocks back and forth.  The goal is to get as many cylinders stacked on to KeeKee with out any of them falling off.  This game is great for helping with hand-eye coordination and dexterity and it also teaches kids about balance!  And even though its safe for children 3 years old, its also tons of fun for older kids and even adults!  This is truly a game for the whole family!!!!!

The other game I received was Spot It: Numbers and Shapes...

This game is great for number, shape, and color recognition!!!  There's always just one symbol that matches between any 2 cards, so its a great teaching tool.  My 3 year old wanted to play right away!  We began by using the cards in a sort of "go fish" type of game.  My 3 year old took one card and I took one and I asked her, "Do you have a red 7?"  I would ask her the different symbols until she found the matching one on her card.  She loved it!  And I loved the educational value!  And I love the portability too!  It comes in a fairly small tin, so you can throw it in a purse or diaper bag and use it in the car, at a restaurant while waiting for the food, on vacation!  So many ideas!!!
