"Nourished" Book Review

Hello.  My name is Rebekka, the One Jesus Loves.  Why do I call myself that?  Well, its something I learned from Becky Johnson and Rachel Randolph in their fabulous new book, "Nourished."  Referring to yourself as "The One Jesus Loves" is something Becky and her daughter Rachel discuss in the book, and I have to say that I've loved the idea since I read it!  I can't help but smile whenever I say or write that phrase.  "The One Jesus Loves."  It gives me chills and makes me giddy.  And why shouldn't it!  (Have I mentioned yet how much I loved this book?)

Why do I love "Nourished" so much.  Well, it reminds us that there's nothing wrong with taking care of yourself.  In fact, its necessary.  As a mom of three kids under the age of five, I often forget to take care of myself.  Seriously.  There are days when I sit down at 9 pm and think, "I haven't even showered today."  But in order to be the best wives, mothers, Christians that we can be, we really have to "nourish" ourselves - nourish our bodies, our relationships, our spirits, and even the spaces we live in.  We have to take that time.  But sometimes its hard.  So Becky and Rachel wrote an entire book for of advice, encouragement, and funny stories about how to nourish ourselves.  I gleaned some great ideas from this book and am already beginning to put them into practice. "Nourished" is definitely a good read!

I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for my honest review.
