I love when Food Network releases a new cookbook. I'm a huge fan. And so is my preschooler. She often asks if she can watch Food Network instead of cartoons. Haha! So I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to review "Supermarket Healthy," by Melissa D'Arabian!
I enjoy cooking, but with 3 young children, I often find myself sticking to the same, easy, boring, unhealthy casseroles. I'm always looking at ways to encourage us to eat healthier and this book is a great start! I love that its not just a book of healthy recipes, but she's taken budget into account. There are several helpful hints in here on buy healthy ingredients without breaking the bank.
And, once again, Food Network has a beautiful cookbook. One of the reasons I love their books is that they are full of bright, lovely photos. That's a "cookbook must-have" for me!
And there are also lots of helpful hints sprinkled through out the book! - Supermarket Strategies for buying healthy, saving money, etc., Kitchen Strategies for saving time, getting your kids involved, and ingredient substitutes, and Entertaining Strategies for serving foods, changing recipes to make them party friendly, etc. I love cookbooks with helpful ideas like that!
I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from Blogging For Books, in exchange for my honest review.
