"Cookie Love" Book Review

OK.  I'm gonna confess.  Cookies are my weakness.  I love them.  Adore them.  Eat too many of them.  Haha!  So I was excited to review "Cookie Love," by Mindy Segal. I mean, seriously, what could be better than a book full of cookies!?!

So what did I love about this book?
1.) Pictures! - I've mentioned it in so many cookbook reviews, but pictures are a HUGE must in a cookbook!  You want to see what the finished product looks like.  And you also want to see how delicious it looks.  I often thumb through my cookbooks and pick a recipe based on how delicious it looks in the picture.  This book is full of lovely, beautiful pictures!
2.) Its divided into great sections!  - I love that Miss Segal has split the book into "cookie types."  There are sections on Drop Cookies Shortbread Sandwich Cookies Egg White Cookies, Spritz & Thumbprints, Twice-Baked Cookies, Rugelach & Kolachkes, Bars, and Basics (which includes sauces, marshmallows, and other basics.
3.) There are some great extras! - In her "My Cookie Pantry" section, Miss Segal not only gives a list of some of her "must haves," but she also teachers you some more things, like how to make butter!

This is not your "typical" cookie cookbook.  There aren't 14 chocolate chip cookie recipes.  (Although, there is one chocolate chip cookie recipe and it looks AMAZING!)  No, this cookie book is filled with delicious - and unique - recipes.  There are some really interesting recipes, like "Smoky Bacon Candy Bar Cookies." This book will definitely inspire you to break out of your normal cookie rut!

I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from Blogging For Books, in exchange for my honest review.
