"7 Days of Awesome: A Creation Tale" Book Review

I review a LOT of kids books on my blog.  Some I love, some I like, but rarely does a book become an INSTANT classic in our house.  "7 Days of Awesome: A Creation Tale," by Shawn Byous, arrived yesterday afternoon and has already shot up into the instant classic category!

This book, like its title, is AWESOME!  With rhymes reminiscent of the great Dr. Seuss, this book will grab both your kid's attention AND yours!  "7 Days of Awesome" tells the story of the seven days of creation in a unique way.  This is quite a feat, considering the fact that the story of creation is a common subject for children's books.

Here's one of my favorite parts of the book:

"God filled up the seas,
and He filled up the sky,
with fish that could swim,
and birds that could fly!

And fish that could FLY!
And birds that could SWIM!

But don't ask ME why...
you'll have to ask HIM!"

What a unique and creative perspective!  And so true!  God created so many fun and interesting things!

Easter is coming up, and I'd suggest you get this book and make it part of you're little one's Easter basket!  Its a story that they'll enjoy over and over.  But, even more important than that, its a story YOU'LL enjoy reading to them over and over!!!

I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from Zonderkidz, in exchange for my honest review.
