Ice Cream Empire Game Review

I'm always looking for fun games that will teach educational concepts.  Ice Cream Empire, by Uncorked Games is a cute game that teaches kids the basics of economics in building a business.

What I like:

1.) The kids enjoy it! - My kids really enjoyed the game.  They had tons of fun driving their ice cream trucks around the board, collecting ice cream flavors, and building ice cream shops.

2.) The kids learn some basic economics lessons! - The Inventory Costs cards change the cost of each flavor periodically. And because each truck can only carry 8 tons of ice cream, players have to be careful to choose their flavors wisely or they could end up losing money. Hostile Takeovers and Ice Cream Socials can also throw the game into a frenzy!

3.) The pieces are cute! - The little ice cream trucks, ice cream flavor chips, and even the little ice cream cones (for building stores) are cute and sturdy!

4.) Its a good mix of strategy and luck. - You need to be strategic on when to buy and sell ice cream and what flavors you choose.  But there's enough luck thrown in with the changing of inventory prices and people landing on Ice Cream Social or Hostile Takeover spaces that anyone can win!

I received this game, free of charge from Uncorked Games, in exchange for my honest review.
