Fun Games from Analog Game Studios

When I'm game shopping, I look for a few things: 1.) games that scale well to 2 players so that my hubby and I can play together, 2.) games that play up to 5 players so that my entire family can play together, 3.) games that little girls will enjoy, and 3.) games that my kids can play independently so that they don't need adult help to enjoy playing.  Analog Game Studios had games that fit all of those criteria!  So let's check them out!

1.) Gnomes at Midnight -

Gnomes at Midnight is a 2 player game for ages 8+ that takes approximately 10 minutes to play.  This makes is a great filler game, a great starter game, or a great marathon game (playing multiple games in one sitting).  In the game, you're trying to "bump" your opponents gnomes off the board or complete the "dance design" on the dance card by the game board.   This game is cute enough for young players, but strategic enough for older players.  And the quick play time makes it a great game for when you only have a few minutes (ie. before bedtime, during lunch, during a quick homeschool break, etc.)!

2.) King of Indecision -

King of Indecision is a 1-5 player game for ages 8+ that takes approximately 40 minutes.  I'm always thrilled when I see a game that can play more than 4 players at once!  a 5-player count means my entire family can play at once! And this game is beautiful! The tiles are colorful and attractive!  Plus, I'm a sucker for a tile laying game!  In King of Indecision, you're a noble in the king's court.  You try to gain the king's favor by capturing the treasure that you think the king wants.  But be careful.  The king is quite fickle!  His mind can change at a moment's notice!

I received these games, free of charge from Analog Game Studios, in exchange for my honest review.

3.) On Pointe -

On Pointe is a board game for 2-4 players ages 8+.  It takes 20-30 minutes to play and its perfect for little dancers!  In On Pointe, your little ballerinas are learning basic ballet moves, rehearsing, and performing.  Each little dancer collects gems and treasures along the way. The ballerina with the most points at the end of the game wins!

4.) #demidancer -

#demidancer is a fun little card game for 2 players ages 5+ that takes only 2-5 minutes to play!  This is the perfect independent game for kids!  Its very simple.  Race to match the cards and build dance outfits.  Get rid of all of your cards first and win the game! I played this with my 6 year old and she thoroughly enjoyed it!  It was easy to teach and easy to start playing.  Its also very compact - which makes it perfect for travel!
