"In Her Kitchen" Book Review

I've said it before, but I'm a bit of a cookbook collector.  OK.  That's a lie.  I'm a HUGE cookbook collector.  And my favorite kind are unique cookbooks that tell a story.  I love a cookbook that's more than just a list of recipes and "In Her Kitchen" is so much more!!!

The full title of the book is "In Her Kitchen: Stories and Recipes from Grandmas Around the World." Photographer Gabriele Calimerti traveled the world taking taking pictures of grandmas with their signature dishes.  There are 53 women and their recipes from all over the globe included in this book!  Each recipe comes with a picture of the grandma with her ingredients, a picture of the prepared dish, and a paragraph about the grandma.

I find this such a fabulous and unique cookbook! The pictures are bright, colorful, and lovely.  And I love that there's a picture of each and every dish.  Plus, its so interesting to see what people around the world like to cook.  If you're looking for an interesting cookbook for yourself or a gift for a friend or loved one, you should definitely check this one out!

I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.
