"The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers" Book Review

I'm always thrilled to receive a new book to review for my kids, especially if its biblical, so I was very excited to receive this adorable little book.  If you are looking for a cute, sturdy, basic story Bible for your little girl, check this one out!

Now, I will say, this story Bible is not very detailed, so if you are looking for full Bible stories for older kids, this one isn't for you.  This story Bible is very basic - just a few sentences per story - for young toddlers.  For example, the creation story does not cover "the fall," but simply discusses God's creation of the earth.  This isn't a bad thing, however.  This is a great little book when you are reading to a one or two year old with a very short attention span.  And the book is actually a board book, with thick, board pages - which is great for little hands that like to tear paper.  Each page has a large, colorful illustration (to grab your little one's attention) and just one or two sentences.  This is perfect for little ones who always seem to want to flip the page before you are finished reading.  Haha!

My favorite page is the final page of the book.  Finishing the story of Jesus' resurrection and ascension into heaven, the final page says, "After Jesus spent time with his disciples, he went up to heaven through the clouds.  But someday he will come back.  We are waiting for you, Lord Jesus!"  I love that this story Bible ends in a similar way to the actual Bible - asking Jesus to come back soon.  The penultimate verse in the Bible states, "He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen.  Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for my honest review.
