I have a little girl who is OBSESSED with dinosaurs. She dreams of becoming a paleontologist when she grows up. So i'm always on the lookout for dino-themed games! And we own several. One of our favorites is Draftosaurus, by Ankama Games. With its adorable, colorful dino meeples, it's definitely a hit! So when I saw that Ankama had introduced another dinosaur game, I was so excited! Enter Dino Party!
Here's what I love:
1.) Dino meeples! - Dino Party comes with similar, adorable dino meeples, so its immediately a hit! I mean, seriously! Dino meeples! SO STINKING CUTE!!!
2.) Its beautiful! - The game is well made and beautifully designed! The illustrations on the game boards are really pretty!
3.) The instructions! - I can't stand a game with vague, indecipherable instructions! Thankfully, Dino Party has pretty clear instructions. I had a few questions (which I think had more to do with the fact that I was reading the instructions after a long day - and being continually interrupted by 3 kids - than the actual instructions), but I watched this instructional video and it really helped clarify!
4.) It's easy enough for small children to play! - My youngest always gets a bit frustrated - or feels a bit left out - when we play a highly strategic game, so playing something that has simple rules helps her be included! And the fact that you can play this game while standing up/moving around helps wiggle worms stay interested!
5.) It plays up to 6 people! - As I've mentioned before, we're a family of 5. So finding games that can play more than 4 people is crucial to our family game nights. Dino Party fits that bill perfectly!
