Great Bible Journaling/Adult Coloring Supplies From Zondervan

If you haven't heard of Bible journaling or adult coloring, then where have you been for the past year?  Because these two topics are both HUGE trends right now!  People have known for years that art was a stress-reliever.  Studying the Word of God is also a stress-reliever. Put those two things together and you've got a wonderful phenomenon!!!  Every Christian book publisher I can think of is jumping on the train!  And I love that!  It means there are tons of journaling Bibles and Christian-themed color books to choose from!  But the folks at Zondervan have sent me some of their supplies and, I've gotta say, I loved EACH AND EVERY thing they sent!  So let me show you!

First, Bible journaling! This is a very personal activity! Some people write notes in their Bibles (sermon notes, Bible study notes, etc.), some folks do creative lettering (which is what I enjoy), some folks do beautiful drawings (I wish I could!).  Some folks journal only in the margins (which is mostly what I do because I don't like to cover up the words in my Bible). Some folks cover the whole page.  If you'd like to see some examples of the different types of Bible journaling, go to Instagram, #BibleJournaling.  Journaling Bibles are made with large margins, so that you have room to write or decorate as you see fit.  Some folks have a dedicated Bible just for art.  Whatever your preference, Zondervan has a couple of fabulous journaling Bibles!

The first one is the Beautiful Word Bible.  I love this Bible because it not only has large margins (2.25 inches, to be exact), but it also has 500 full color illustrations to help you get the creative juices flowing.

Or, if you aren't interested in doing art in your Bible, this one will still give you some beautifully illustrated verses!

Illustrated Bibles are nothing new.  In fact, the first illustrated Bible was crated sometime between 330 and 650 AD!  This Bible comes in hardback or imitation leather.  (I prefer the imitation leather, as I find it easier to journal in softer Bibles.)  It comes in 3 translations: NIV, KJV, and NKJV.

The second journaling Bible is the Notetaker's Bible.  This Bible is wonderful for both artistic Bible journaling and notetaking! Not only does it have a 1 3/8 inch margin on the side (a bit narrower than the Beautiful Word Bible, if you're looking to do art in your Bible), but it also has a 1 3/4 inch margin on the bottom if each page!  This is great for those who take lots of notes or are looking for a bit more space for art!

This Bible comes in several translations: NASB, NIV, KJV, NKJV, and Amplified!  It also comes in a hardcover or imitation leather.  Again, I prefer the imitation leather.  I love a soft backed Bible much better than a hard backed one!  And this Bible has a beautiful design!  But its not "girly," so you could give it to a man who likes to take notes in his Bible as well!

Many folks have seen the new Bible journaling craze, but don't participate.  Some don't want to draw in their Bibles (that's a very personal choice) and some don't feel they are artistic enough.  But fear not!  You can still be creative!  Zondervan has also released several adult coloring books!

The Inspiring Words coloring book, which released last year, is a great option!

It has 30 Bible verses that you can color!  Everyone knows that coloring is a stress relief.  But what could relieve more stress than coloring while you meditate on God's word!

Zondervan has also released 2 hymn-based coloring books: Amazing Grace and It Is Well With My Soul, which both released on March 1st!

Both of these books take the hymn, phrase by phrase, and give you lovely coloring pages!  Two classic and powerful hymns!

These coloring books would make great gifts!  (And the It Is Well coloring book would be wonderful for someone who is struggling with illness or loss!)

If you're a seasoned Bible journaler, or if you're new to the whole concept, Zondevan is a great place to look!  And Easter is a great time to start on your "journaling journey"!  (Can I do that to the English language?  Oh well!)

Make sure you follow me on Instagram @theproverbs31mama to see my Bible journaling pics, review pics, and recipe pics!

I received these books, free of charge, from Zondervan, in exchange for my honest review.
