The Tooth Fairy Game Blog Review

With 3 little girls, some things tend to lose their "specialness" as time goes by.  When the first child loses a tooth, its a HUGE deal.  By the time number 3 begins losing teeth, you've seen a LOT of teeth come and go.  But I don't ever want my youngest to feel like her milestones aren't still milestones.  That's why I was so glad I discovered The Tooth Fairy Game, by Petersen Games

Here's what I like about The Tooth Fairy Game:

1.) Its super cute!  - Those little teeth are so cute and my kids love playing with them!

2.) Its actually FOUR games in one! - I LOVE a good bargain, so it's great when a game has several play modes.  This box actually has instructions for FOR different games!  And the games get progressively harder, so you can start with the first game (pulling teeth out of a bag until you get your 5 colored teeth) and then progress up to the other games as your kids get older or more advanced as gamers.

3.) The 4 games are different - not just advanced versions of the first game.

4.) It plays up to 5 people! - Most traditional games play 2 to 4 people.  That's a bummer for our family of 5.  But this game plays up to 5 people, which means we can all play at once!

5.) It plays quickly! - Being that the game concept (teeth and the tooth fairy) appeals to younger kids, a long game doesn't always go well.  Thankfully, the beginning game plays very quickly. (I'd say 5 - 10 minutes.)  This makes it great for young people with short attention spans.  This also makes it a great game when you don't have tons of time to play a long game.

Here's what I wasn't thrilled with in the game:

1.) The bags! - You have to pull teeth out of the bags in most of the games, but the bag openings are tiny.  I had difficulty getting by hand inside the bag.  When speed is part of the game (like in the first game), this can be a downside.

2.) None of these games are too sophisticated.  - Its a cute set of games, but not one I'd enjoy playing a ton of times.  But my kids really had fun.  And since the games are really simple - especially the first game - they can play by themselves!

3.) The teeth are tiny. - This isn't horrible.  After all, they're supposed to be teeth.  But it does mean you need to be careful and count them up after a game because it would be easy to misplace a few.

All in all, if you have little kids - especially ones who like the tooth fairy - this is a cute set of games.

I received this game, free of charge from Petersen Games, in exchange for my honest review.
