With Christmas quickly approaching, I'm always on the lookout for games to give as gifts. My family LOVES GAMES! (I'm sure you've figured that out by now.) So I was thrilled when the fabulous folks at Mondrian Blocks were kind enough to send me not one, but TWO boxes of their FABULOUS puzzle game!
I was excited to receive these, but I was even more excited when they arrived and I got to check them out for myself! These games are seriously impressive! So here's what I loved about them:
1.) They're puzzle-y fun!!! - In the game, you pull out one of the many puzzle cards, place the pieces shown on the card, and then attempt to place all the other pieces correctly. There's no answer cards to worry about because there's only one solution for each one! Ingenious!
2.) Art lesson! - These games are based on the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, who is considered to be one of the greatest artists of the 20th Century! - This makes these games a fantastic tool for not only STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), but Art class as well!
3.) The compact box! - This game is not only great for home, but fantastic for travel as well! All the pieces AND the cards fit right inside the handy little case!
4.) The closure design! - Not only does everything fit perfectly, but they've designed the box with such an ingenious little locking mechanism that everything is secure! Mo worries about the cards all falling out. Turn the clasp one way and the entire thing locks up. Turn it again and you can open only the side with the cards. Turn it again and the side with the cards locks up and you can open the side with the blocks! This keeps components from spilling everywhere and makes it great for even using in the car!
5.) Each game is different! 0 Each of the different colored Mondrian Blocks sets contains DIFFERENT puzzle cards! That's fantastic, as the kids can just switch colors once they finish the cards in theirs!
I'm thrilled to give these games to my kids! They're beautiful, fun, well-made, and educational!
I received these games free of charge from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
