Doomlings Review

My family are big card game lovers, so I was excited when the folks at Doomlings asked me to review their game. In Doomlings, each player is a new life form on a distant, alien planet. You're all competing for supremacy - until the inevitable end of the world. (It's a lot less doom and gloom than it sounds. I promise!)

The folks at Doomlings were kind enough to send me their Classic Doomlings game and the Overlush Mystery 4-pack! So, let's check them out!

Doomlings plays 2-6 players in 20 to 45 minutes.

Here's what we loved:

1.) The design! - The cards are so colorful and fun - a complete contrast to the doom and gloom theme of the game!  Haha! And the little characters on the cards are adorable!  My kids wanted to see each new trait as it was played.

2.) The player count! - This game plays 2-6 players!  WooHoo!  That means two of my kids can play a game on their own or our entire family can play together!

3.) The ease of play! - The game is very simple to learn. The instructions are just a folded flyer.  I love games like that!  As soon as I unfolded the flyer, I knew we'd be going from instructions to play pretty quickly.

4.) The play time! - The game plays in approximately 20-45 minutes.  This makes it ideal for pretty much anytime - a morning game, a lunch time game, a game before bed.

5.) The expansion packs! - There's nothing worse than finding a card game you really love and then playing it until it isn't fun anymore because you know all the cards too well.  But the folks at Doomlings have solved this problem by releasing expansion packs!  Collecting the cards is so much fun and my kids loved opening each pack and seeing what new cards we received. And with all the extra cards, no two games of Doomlings will be the same!

6.) The box! - The box is very simple, but it has a couple of dividers in it, which makes it easy to keep the traits and ages cards separated. It also leaves plenty of room for expansions, which means you aren't stuck with several boxes of stuff if you want to add to the game! Also, the box is gorgeous!  And it even has a holographic affect!

If you love card games, or if you love playing easy, fun games with your family, or if you're obsessed with alien life forms - or the end of the world - then this just may be the game for you!

I received this game, free of charge from Doomlings, in exchange for my honest review.
