I have a dino-obsessed ten year old, so I was really excited at the prospect of reviewing 2 Minute Dino Deal by Petersen Games! This is a cute, fun, compact game that, as its name suggests, plays in TWO MINUTES! So let's check it out!
2 Minute Dino Deal is a game for 2-5 players ages 8+. It plays in.. you guessed it... 2 minutes! Use the "Time Scoop" and go back in time to capture dinosaurs and bring them back to sell to theme parks and zoos!
Here's what I like:
1.) Quick play time! - Just like the name implies, this game takes 2 minutes to learn and 2 minutes to play! That makes it perfect for on the go, or a quick evening game, or homeschool breaks! I love that set up and play are so quick. This makes it perfect for a time crunch! It also makes it great for in between longer games, or playing several rounds in a row.
2.) The design! - The cards and tokens have really fun, colorful dinosaur illustrations that any dinosaur lover is going to appreciate.
3.) The simplicity of the game! - This is a very "press your luck" type of game. Its also easy to learn and jump right into. Some games take a long time just to get through the instruction booklet and play a first game. 2 Minute Dino Deal is simple to learn, which is a relief!
4.) The rulebook! - The rulebook is small and only a few pages! It terrifies me when I open a rule booklet and its more like a novel than a booklet. So seeing a small rule booklet always makes me super happy!
