Of Nights and Ninjas

The king is old and has no heir, so he's decided to name an heir from the nobles in his kingdom.  If you can manage to acquire 10 gems before any of your noble competitors, you can become the next ruler of the kingdom! Good luck and godspeed!

I'm gonna be honest, I'm a huge sucker for a Medieval themed game!  I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to review Of Nights and Ninjas, by Blue Fox Games! So let's check it out!

Of Nights and Ninjas is a fantastic medieval-themed card game for 2-6 players ages 8+.  It plays in around 20 minutes.  Here's what I like:

1.) The artwork! - The card illustrations are some of the cutest I've ever seen!  They crack me up! They also aren't too "busy."  The cards have a fun illustration, a Strength Number, and the Gameplay Action.  This makes the cards very easy to read and not confusing.

2.) The player count! - As I mention often, I love a game that plays more than 4 so that my whole family can join in!

3.) The theme! - As I mentioned, I love a good Medieval theme!  So this is right up my alley!

4.) Play time! - The game lasts about 20 minutes, which makes it great for shorter attention spans or short game periods.

5.) The rulebook! - The rulebook is colorful, fun, and easy to understand!  It gives very clear instructions and explains what each card does.  It even gives suggestions on removing some cards for a first playthrough - to make it simple to start!

6.) The gameplay! - The game is fairly simple and straightforward. On your turn, draw two cards and the fortify your kingdom, attack your rival's kingdom, or play an action card.  When you attack a rival you can steal some of their gems (unless they can defend themselves successfully. The gameplay is simple enough for children to play, yet strategic enough for adults to enjoy.  This makes it perfect for a family game night!

I received this game, free of charge from Blue Fox Games, in exchange for my honest review.
