Citrus Lane September 2012 Newborn Box Review and 50% Off Your First Box!!!

If you'd like to check out Citrus Lane for yourself, you can click this REFERRAL LINK and get 50% off your first box!!!

I have another great September Citrus Lane Review for you guys today!  This review is for the newborn box!  (If you'd like to see my September Toddler Box review, you can click HERE.)  We recently discovered we are expecting a second little blessing (WooHoo!) and my father very generously ordered a Citrus Lane box for the baby!  Now, you may be wondering how that works.  I mean, the baby's not even here yet and won't be here for many months!  Well, Citrus Lane lets you put in your "due date" instead of the child's birthdate if you are currently pregnant.  Then they just send you a newborn box (based on each month's theme) until the baby is born!  Then, you can put in the baby's birthdate and the boxes will begin to age along with your baby!  That way, but the time the baby arrives, you have a nice stash of baby necessities!!!  Citrus Lane is so awesome!!!

The Magic Sleepsuit Review

Have you heard of Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit?  I hadn't until recently.  Boy!  I wish I'd had this handy product when my first little blessing was a baby!  The Magic Sleepsuit was invented by Maureen - a mother of four and pediatric physical therapist.  She created this fabulous product to improve the quality and duration of her babies' sleep.

Th Magic Sleepsuit is meant to help transition your child from swaddling (once they're too old for swaddling) and keep your child warm and cozy without the need for loose bedding - which can be EXTREMELY dangerous for an infant.

As I've mentioned many times, I love finding new and adorable things for my children.  I'm always looking out for new companies and new stores that I can try.  And I've found an ADORABLE new company called Our New Earth.  The wonderful folks at Our New Earth were kind enough to send me several items for review.

The first item I received was this BEAUTIFUL Crib Quilt in Apple Green...

This quilt is so pretty!  And its not super thick, so it will work well for us, since we live in the South!  I requested the green color because we don't yet know whether we're having a boy or a girl.  This quilt is perfect because it will go in a girl's room or a boys room!  This quilt is made of 100% Organic Cotton outer with Polyester filler.  And the underside is white with lovely apple green stitching.  So pretty!

Everly Grey Maternity Wear Review

Well, if you've been reading my blog lately, you know that I'm currently expecting our second little blessing.  I love being pregnant!  But, right now, I'm at that stage where my prepregnancy clothes are starting to get too tight.  I hate that feeling.  That's when I start to feel big and unattractive - even though I don't have the big belly yet.  Thankfully, the AWESOME folks at Everly Grey Maternity were kind enough to send me some clothes to review!  They came just at the right time too!  Haha!

The first piece they sent was this lovely Jill Maxi Dress in black...

(This picture is not me.  Its courtesy of the Everly Grey website.  I wish I looked this good!  Haha!)

My Bum Book Review

I remember when my first little one was born.  I was SO TIRED.  (All you moms know what I mean!  Haha!)  Keeping up with when I had fed my sweet one, changed a diaper, gave a bath, etc. was sometimes difficult.  I used a plain notebook, but it ended up looking like a jumble after a while because I wasn't sure how to structure it.  I won't have that same problem this go around though, thanks to the awesome folks at Bumblestuff.com!!!  They were kind enough to send me one of their FABULOUS My Bum Books for review!

Beanie Designs Review

With a new little blessing on the way, I have already been thinking of cute ways to dress him or her (we don't know the sex yet) up!  I'm also thinking of all sorts of wonderful picture ideas!  One of my FAVORITE things to have is ton of baby hats!!!   That's why I was THRILLED when the folks at Beanie Designs asked me to review one of their items!  These adorable beanies and hats are PERFECT for making your sweet one look even sweeter - whether you are taking cute pictures or just going out on the town!

The kind folks at Beanie Designs let me pick a hat out for myself and, since I don't know the sex of my baby yet, I picked this ADORABLE Organic Cotton Green Apple Hat...

Baby Bella Maya Toddler Accessories & Car Seat Cover Review

OK, I'll admit it.  I LOVE having a sweet little girl that I can dress up in sweet clothes, shoes, and accessories!  Its so much fun!!!  In fact, I think I'd have to say that I love shopping for baby/toddler clothes WAY more than shopping for my own clothes!  Haha!  Well, I've found a wonderful company that sells some absolutely ADORABLE baby and toddler items!  Its called Baby Bella Maya.  The good folks at Baby Bella Maya were kind enough to send me a few items to review.

The first item we received was this adorable Pink Champagne Headband...

This headband is SOOOOO adorable!!!!  Its the perfect piece to accessorize a sweet little pink or brown dress!  And my daughter loves it too.  (I think she knows how cute she looks in it.)  :)

Tiny Bites Food Shears Review

I was recently contacted by Tiny Bites Food Shears about reviewing their product.  I have to say, I wasn't sure how great these little food shears would be.  They're cute, but they look like little kids' safety scissors - which aren't very sharp - so I wasn't sure they would be very effective.  Boy was I wrong!

These little shears are AMAZING! They work so well!  I've used them to cute turkey and swiss sandwiches, chicken strips, toast, french fries - all sorts of stuff!  (I can't wait until we have pizza again so I can use these to cut my little one's piece!)  :)

NGlassworks Necklace Review

As I have mentioned many times before, I LOVE jewelry!  The more unique - the better!  And this beautiful jewelry from NGlassworks is definitely unique!  Nancy Giere makes this incredible  dichronic glass jewelry in her sudio in Williamsburg, VA.

Her website states, "Different sizes and shapes of dichroic, iridescent and sheet glass are stacked in unique designs and fired in a kiln. During the fusing process the glass comes alive and takes on a whole new character. After the first firing each piece is cold worked and fire polished in the kiln multiple times until I'm satisfied with the overall design and quality."

Sage Spoonfuls Cookbook Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review a cookbook by a company called Sage Spoonfuls.  Sage Spoonfuls is a company that provides all the tools you need to make your own, healthy, delicious baby food at home.  When I agreed to do the review, I had NO IDEA how awesome this book was going to be!

Let me start out by saying, I REALLY wish I'd had this book when my first child was born!  This is the PERFECT gift for a new mom!  So why am I so in love with this particular baby food cookbook?  Well, its just so complete!!!

Snuggin Go and Snuggin Go Too Review

I LOVE a mom-invented product!  I mean, who knows better what a mom or a baby needs than another mom!  But one thing I REALLY LOVE is a product that's invented by a mom in the medical profession!  A product invented by someone who brings her mom-expertise AND medical-expertise really makes me feel secure.  This is one of those products - the Snuggin Go!

The Snuggin Go was invented by Beth Rumack, "a neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) and mother of three, with years of experience teaching parents of premature and term infants how to position their babies in car seats using rolled blankets and towels. These impromptu solutions often rolled out of position or were hard to maintain for parents over time. The result was unsafe seating position for young babies.  In 2004, when Beth’s daughter was born weighing only 6 pounds, Beth took it upon herself to design the Snuggin Go® to correctly and easily position premature and term newborns in their seats."

BabyGiraffe Companion Review

I love doing blog reviews!  They are so much fun!  And I get to try lots of creative and unique products.  Unfortunately, every once in a while I get an email about a product and I wonder, "Is this product worth my time?"  That's the way I felt when the folks at BabyGiraffe contacted me.  But I decided to give it a try anyway.  And, can I just say, I am SO SO SO GLAD THAT I DID!!!!!!!!!!

Baby MEDBASICS and Toddler MEDBASICS Review

I remember when my first child was born.  I had taken CPR.  In fact, a few years before, I had been a CPR Instructor!  But when my little one was born I had trouble remembering everything I'd learned.  And I often wondered, if something ever happened, would I completely forget all of my training?  Well, I don't have to worry about that anymore - thanks to MEDBASICS!!!

MEDBASICS sells a Baby MEDBASICS and a Toddler MEDBASICS book and I was fortunate enough to receive them both for review!  Both books are small and will easily fit in a diaper bag or purse.  They both come with colorful tabs to help you easily access the following categories: Allergies, Bites & Stings, Bleeding, Burns, Choking, CPR, Falls, Fever, Poison, and Rash.  Each category gives you helpful information about that topic, prevention tips, symptoms of that particular illness or injury, and emergency steps to take.

Knot Genie Detangling Brush Review

One of the worst things about my sweet little one's hair growing is that its starting to tangle.  :(  That makes me so sad.  I hate to hurt her when I brush her hair.  Thankfully, I've found a great solution to this problem - the Knot Genie!

Their website states:
"The magic trick behind the Knot Genie™ is one we are happy to reveal. It all has to do with the different lengths of teeth on the brush. When brushing, they bend just right, to gently untangle the hair. And because of this lack of stress, the hair's cuticle stays unharmed... revealing the smoothest, shiniest hair you've ever seen."

Woombie Lil' Peanut Doll

Some of you may remember my previous review of a wonderful product called the Woombie Toddler Eco Donut.  Its a FABULOUS travel bed for toddlers that we just love!!!  Well, I've got another wonderful Woombie product to review today! - The Woombie Lil' Peanut Doll!!!

The website states:
"Lucy is looking for a big brother or sister to take care of her!  Lucy requires: Lots of love, Gentle rocks, Sweet songs, Tucking into bed at night, Kisses, Occasional diaper changes, Soft hugs, Her Woombie swaddle.  The perfect gift for the NEW big brother or sister!"

Mamadoc Belly UpIt and Preghose Review

I remember my first pregnancy pretty well.  The best part of that pregnancy - feeling my sweet little baby moving around inside my womb.  Oh, and when she had hiccups!  How adorable!!!  The worst part of pregnancy (not counting delivery, of course!  Haha!) - morning sickness, backaches, and swollen feet!  Ouch!  Of course, the morning sickness faded after the first trimester.  Then came the lower back pain and, at the end of pregnancy, the swollen feet and ankles.

I'm prepared in advance for those issues this go around - thanks to Mamadoc.  Mamadoc is a terrific company that was started by a Dr. Somi Javaid and her friend Kim Howell.  Together Dr. Javaid (a mom and an OBGYN) and Ms. Howell have developed a line of practical pregnancy products to help women deal with some of the less-desireable symptoms of pregnancy.

The wonderful folks at Mamadoc were kind enough to send me 2 products for review.  The first product I received was their Belly UpIt Band...

Squatchi Review

Life with a toddler can be, well, busy.  Now that our second blessing is on the way, I'm starting to imagine how busy life with a toddler AND a newborn will be!  One thing that I love to do when I get a chance, is order things online.  Its SOOO much easier than heading out to the store.  Don't get me wrong.  My little one and I make lots of trips to the super market, clothing stores, etc.  But sometimes its just easier to do it online.

One thing I've always been wary about ordering online is shoes for my little one.  Little feet grow SO quickly!  I always feel like I need to go to the store and get her sized before ordering anything.  And doesn't that just ruin the whole point of saving time and frustration!

Peerbackers Opportunity with Snuggin Go

I have a great opportunity to share with my readers today!  - Its an opportunity to help a momprenuer with her FABULOUS business!  First, here's a little bit about the company, Snuggin Go...

A Snuggin Go® is much more than those infant head rests that now come standard with many car seats. The Snuggin Go is for infants from 4 pounds and greater, up to one year of age, and helps babies sit and breath right.
The Snuggin Go® story begins with our founder Beth Rumack, a neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) and mother of three, with years of experience teaching parents of premature and term infants how to position their babies in car seats using rolled blankets and towels. These impromptu solutions often rolled out of position or were hard to maintain for parents over time. The result was unsafe seating position for young babies.
In 2004, when Beth’s daughter was born weighing only 6 pounds, Beth took it upon herself to design the Snuggin Go® to correctly and easily position premature and term newborns in their seats.
The Snuggin Go® solves these problems simply by giving support where it is needed. Constructed of memory foam which displaces with just four pounds of pressure, the shoulder bar crosses behind baby’s shoulder blades and gently pushes the chest forward, opening the airway. The base bar cradles baby’s bottom, reducing slouching, and the side bars support the shoulders to prevent rolling. The shoulder bar adjusts up and down for a custom fit so baby rides home happy and breathing right.

Green Toys School Bus Review

Ok, I have another FANTASTIC Green Toys review for everyone today!  You may remember that I did a review of Green Toys' Sand Play Set and Snack Bowls and also a review of their Chef Set - all of which are wonderful products!   As I mentioned in both of those reviews, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Green Toys!!!!   Their products are just exceptionally well-made!  And, if you haven't checked out the previous two reviews yet and are not familiar with Green Toys, here's an AWESOME tidbit of info for you - their toys are made from RECYCLED MILK JUGS!!!! That's right!  How incredible and inventive is that!!!
