Its been great getting to review so many Bible study books! I've learned so much! And, while I did enjoy "Let the Beatitudes...", it wasn't my favorite study book. Don't get me wrong. The book is interesting. But it wasn't my favorite.
Here are some things I liked:
1.) The book goes step-by-step through the Beatitudes, covering one per chapter.
2.) Mr. Harris puts a lot of personal info and experiences in the book. I like a Bible study that draws on the writer's own experiences to give depth to the book.
Things I didn't particularly enjoy about this book:
1.) It didn't really grab my attention. It was interesting, just not attention-grabbing. But I know that is personal opinion.
2.) Mr. Harris quoted a LOT of music lyrics in his book. I normally enjoy things like that, but it seemed quite overdone in this particular book. There were several quotes per chapter and it became a bit monotonous.
I received an e-book copy of this book, free of charge, from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for my honest review.
