"Beside Bethesda: 31 Days Toward Deeper Healing" Book Review

If you are going through a difficult time - or even if you just need a little reminder to keep your eye on what matters - this is a great book for you!  "Beside Bethesda: 31 Days Toward Deeper Healing" is a wonderful, quick Bible study by Joni Eareckson Tada.  If you don't know who Joni is, you should really look her up.  Joni was paralyzed from the neck down in a diving accident when she was a teenager.  Her daily struggles, along with her strong faith, make her the perfect woman to write this book!

This book is small, portable, and easy to read.  Each day's reading is only a couple of pages. Each day has a personal story from Joni - usually about her struggles with pain and paralysis and what God has been teaching her, along with a short Scripture and a reflection for the day.  Thankfully, I have not experienced the sorts of tragedies that Joni has.  However, I was still able to get so much out of her book.  Her ability to pull the meaning and the hope from Scripture even on horrible days is so encouraging.  Read this book and get a new perspective on life!  Better yet, gift this book to someone who is going through a difficult time!

I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from Tyndale Blog Network in exchange for my honest review.
