NKJV American Woman's Bible Review

As you know if you read my blog with any regularity, I LOVE reviewing study Bibles! It always fascinates me to see what Bible scholars have to say about certain passages.  That's why my family owns so many different study Bibles.  Each one is interesting and helpful in its own way. For this reason,I was THRILLED when Thomas Nelson Publishers released the American Woman's Bible last month!

Thomas Nelson released the American Patriot's Bible several years ago and I was fascinated by it.  Its filled with stories of American Patriots, religious quotes from these patriots, and fascinating info.  The American Woman's Bible is just as great!  Its filled with stories of great, godly, American women!  Many of them I had heard of (like Ruth Bell Graham, Dolly Madison, and Fanny Crosby), but there were also lots of women that I wasn't familiar with - like Susette "Bright Eyes" LaFlesche - a Native American woman who fought for equality in the US.

There are also several full-color, glossy pages with information about the women of the American Revolution, the Civil War, both World Wars, women of the Civil Rights Movement, and several other important eras in American history. These sections are extremely interesting and educational.  There are also lots of quote by great American women all throughout the Bible.

If you're looking for a great study Bible for women, or if you are interested in American history, this is the Bible for you!

I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from BookLook Bloggers, in exchange for my honest review.
