We LOVE the Berenstain Bears in our house! The stories are cute and teach great lessons. And they have some of the cutest illustrations ever! That's why I was thrilled to get the chance to review their new cookbook!!!
My oldest is getting to the age where she's interested in helping me cook. Stirring soups and stews, sprinkling cheese on casseroles, pouring chocolate chips in the cooking dough. She's such a great helper! So I've been wanting to get her her very own cookbook. I have a HUGE collection of cookbooks and she's always flipping through them. The Berenstain Bears Cookbook is a great cookbook for little kids. Its full of adorable bear illustrations and easy recipes that you can make with your kids.
I love that the book has plenty of pictures of the bears in it. It really makes this cookbook special. And the recipes are fun and easy. There are 40 recipes in total. Everything from Bear-y Good Oatmeal to Grilled Chicken with Carrots. The back of the book also has a little "Grace Before Meals" prayer that they can read. And because bears love honey, there's a cute page with interesting facts about this "bear-y" special food. And finally, there's a two-page spread with kitchen measurements - great for beginning cooks.
The final page of the book has a lovely illustration of the Berenstain Bears making dinner and an appropriate Bible verse - 1 Corinthians 10:31 - "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
I received a copy of this book, free of charge, from BookLook Bloggers, in exchange for my honest review.
