Brittanie's Thyme Skincare Review

The Brittanie's Time website states: "Brittanie’s Thyme is a women-owned, USDA certified organic company based in Cedar Springs, MI. We are dedicated to manufacturing luxury organic personal care that is safe and effective, yet affordable.

Our product formulator and CEO, Nancy Metzger, utilizes her training as an esthetician and her extensive knowledge of herbs to produce high quality products that even those with very sensitive skin can use. We strive to produce products that have a minimal effect on the planet, yet provide maximum results for our customers. We do not test any products on animals.

Our belief is that natural and organic is a life choice, not a fashion or a trend. Our products are intended to be used, and used regularly. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first, but not anymore!  The wonderful folks at Brittanie's Time sent me several products to review:

Organic Citrus Facial Cleanser

I was a little worried about trying this cleanser.  I have VERY sensitive skin.  Most cleansers make my face turn very red and even sting, but not this one!    This cleanser is made from: Organic Aloe vera, organic jojoba oil, 100% natural vegetable glycerin, organic rosemary extract, organic grapefruit esssential oil, organic rosemary essential oil. - None of those nasty, unpronounceable ingredients that you find in most facial products! 

The grapefruit and rosemary helped cleanse my face.  The jojoba oil added just the nicest touch of moisture, and I believe the aloe vera aided in keeping my skin from reddening and stinging!  All-in-all, it was wonderful!

Organic Everyday Moisturizer

This moisturizer was great as well!  It didn't bother my skin at all and it made my face feel smooth and hydrated without feeling oily!  It contains: Organic aloe gel, organic (refined) coconut oil, 100% natural glycerin, organic rice bran, vitamin E, organic rosemary extract, organic geranium essential oil, organic sweet orange essential oil. 

I love that the Brittanie's Thyme website not only gives the ingredients for their products, but it explains the benefits of each ingredient!.  For example, some benefits of the ingredients in this moisturizer are:

1.) Aloe—helps to restore the acid pH needed for healthy skin. 
2.) Coconut Oil—prevents destructive free-radical formation and provides protection against them.

3.) 100% Natural Vegetable Glycerin—Draws oxygen into the skin which also aids in younger looking skin. 

4.) Rice Bran—Used as an emulsifier/emollient.

5.) Rosemary Extract—contains more than two dozen antioxidants. Neutralizes multiple free radicals.

6.) Geranium Essential Oil—antibacterial benefits. Increases circulation to improve skin tone.

7.) Sweet Orange Essential Oil—brings a natural radiance to the skin surface.

Organic Almond Oatmeal Facial Scrub

This facial scrub is so cool!  Its in powder form, so you just add a little water to turn it into a scrub!  That's brilliant because it will last longer that way!  This scrub surprised me, because it didn't seem to aggravate my skin either!  And, it smells YUMMY!!!  Seriously!  It smells like a bowl of oatmeal!

It contains: organic oatmeal & organic raw almonds.  That's it!!!  No nasty stuff in this scrub! - Just TWO ingredients!!!  I can't tell you how much I LOVE that!!!

French Green Caly Facial Mask with White Tea

This mask is SO COOL!  Its also in powder form, so you just pour some into your hand and add a little warm water to make it into a paste.  This is really cool because clay masks can often dry up and clump after time.  No worries with that here!  I think that is so brilliant!!!

Again, this mask is pure and simple!  Its only ingredients are: French green clay & organic white tea. The website states that this mask is perfect to use after the Almond Oatmeal Facial Scrub.

Organic Sinus Relief Pillow

The last item I received was this AWESOME little Sinus Relief Pillow!  Again, I was skeptical at first. But I wanted to try it since I have horrible issues with my sinuses and often wake up "full of gunk."  :/  The night that I received this pillow I had a HORRIBLE sinus headache, so I figuered it was the perfect time to try it out!  I followed the instructions - gently crushing the herbs with my fingertips and placing it in my pillowcase with my pillow.  I was afraid it would be too "smelly" but was suprised to find that it wasn't!  In fact, it was just a pleasant, slight "minty" smell.  The next morning I woke up and my headache was gone!  And so was most of the gunk!  I could actually breath!  I have to say, I was sort of stunned!!!  :)

This pillow contains: Organic basil, organic lavender, organic peppermint, organic eucalyptus, organic lavender essential oil, organic eucalyptus essential oil, organic basil essential oil, organic peppermint essential oil. 

The great thing about these products is, they are not only natural, but inexpensive as well!!!  The MOST expensive thing that I received was the moisturizer - which costs $18.  (I've bought moisturizers that cost THREE TIMES that!)  I've often thought that buying organic skincare products would "break the bank" - but not these!
